Si has Steelers at 11-5 and winning AFC North. The rest of the division doesn't even play 500. The test is the Jags at Jaks in week 11. See if they can get over that hump after two butt kicks.

If the Steelers win 10 or more games this year that would be 5 straight seasons of 10+ wins. The only other time in team history they've had 5 years in a row with 10+ wins was '72-'76.

They were 8-2 in one score games last year, which was easily the best mark in the NFL. It's hard to duplicate too, usually that averages out over time. Law of averages, luck of the bounce, etc. 4-2 in 2016. 4-4 in 2015. 4-3 in 2014. 2-5 in 2013. We saw what the defense looked like without Shazier.

I'm optimistic, but there are some reasons to be cautious. I can see 9-7 if we're not lucky on injuries and the D struggles.

How many championships did Steelers win these 5 straight seasons of 10+ wins? Oh yeah....none.

They are a good team that sucks in the big game. Its the little things that win championships. Not just talent on the field. Leadership being the big thing lacking at every level. This team has never seemed all in. Gotta rationalize their utter failure in the playoffs somehow.

Record doesn't matter as long as they're in, health status on week 17 does.

The Steelers are good until they face teams that can play at their level or higher. I haven't seen this team yet rise to another level when the situation requires them to. Do I have to list the teams this Steelers organization struggle to compete with? I think we all know who those teams are. It's a broken record every season. Like breaking the franchise season sack number last season. What difference did it make in the end? 11-5 sounds plausible.

It's really no one team. Routinely outcoached against teams with similar talent levels.

Maddening. Every season we as fans try to analyze the issues and every season these similar [from the season before] issues are not resolved by the Steelers themselves.
