Looking back to 2010, when FC was one of the first to advocate AB.

Antonio Brown. 2010 combine.

First play of career. September 19th, 2010.

Steelers vs. Ravens. 2010 playoffs

AB
-Only player to ever have 1000 yards returning and 1000 recieving in a season. (2011-12)
-Only player with 100+ receptions 5 years in a row.
-Most receptions and yards for 5 years, all-time.
-6x Pro-Bowl. 4x First Team All-Pro.

Don't forget about that 5 catches/50 yards per game streak he had going for a while there. ;)

It's fun to mock, but even in the modern era it's incredible consistency - 80+/800+ pace EVERY game. I don't think anyone comes close to that level of consistent production. I wonder what the longest streak of 50+ a game is for a RB? Or 200/250+ passing for a QB?

And AB is up there in targets plenty of years, but it's not like he accomplished that getting more targets than other top WR's in the league.

Historically great route running + elite COD ability + elite ball skills = AB doing AB things.

This is a cool breakdown...

Even within games....rare to see him go more than a quarter without a catch. I wonder how many times in his career, since becoming a starter, he got shutout in a half. Probably can count that on one hand.

This is AB’s long highlight reel from 2017 (with play calls). It’s also an amazing highlight reel for Ben.

It’s just unbelievable what Ben-AB did last year. Not only does AB still have his speed and moves, but AB has become the best at catching the ball in traffic. Watch this.

AB is a beast at catching the football in traffic. He got physically stronger over the years. He's got vice grips for hands and knows exactly when to protect the catch.

He sees things happening faster than most DB's... combined with his quickness and body control and his read/react time is off the charts.

He is so football smart... he leverages every ounce of his abilities on the field.

AB is ferocious in a small package.

Enjoy him while we have him.

AB workout video. The footwork on some of these drills is unreal.

So many amazing catches, but if I had to pick one, that sums up AB, it might be the first TD against Bouye in the highlights.

Totally getting raped as usual by Bouye, and no DPI if I recall correctly. Amazing body position the entire time.

Then he demonstrates his chameleon tongue fingers wiith vice grip strength hands at the last second, not to mention the split second pull back into his body for protection.

And no flag. I believe that catch prompted me to post that AB needs to get a redesign on his shoulder pads to eliminate that handle the taller DBs use on him.

Amazing catch!

"Not a #1 WR" was being bandied about on these very boards

I think it was because he wasn't over 6 foot or something...

Not an X. Which he still isn't most of the time. However, I will cop to being surprised that–in this era of the NFL–that a non X-type WR can be the best in the NFL. It's incredible.

AB during his career has had Mike Wallace, Manny Sanders, Martavis Bryant, and Markus Wheaton as his Xs. Three of those guys are pretty big threats, and have been some part of the team's success. Now James Washington becomes that guy to threaten the top/the single high safety.

It’s hard to believe AB does what he does at his size. Going against a big corner, and a big safety, he comes up with the ball consistently. He has elite ball skills, and all skills. AB’s compact size has always been an advantage with his quickness and agility. If AB was 6”1’, he would not have those moves.

It’s difficult to predict how AB will play in his 30s, because so much of AB’s game is quickness. His route running will help. Jerry Rice was unusual because he put up half his stats after the age of 30.

Always wondered what in the hell could Bouye be possibly bitching about? Can't stand that guy.

I heard Arians say he struggles with the playbook. Cut him and sign someone willing to dedicate themselves.

I spent a lot of time arguing he was. The moment I "knew" with AB was Eagles pre-season game in his 2nd season. He beat high priced FA pro bowl CB so badly he nearly broke his ankles. He never looked back.
