Get the ball on your 25. NFL is watching closely and may follow suit.

Maybe Tomlin was way ahead of the curve here - our return units have sucked for years.

Advantage Steelers.

Revived XFL league is going back to "Old School" football with no restrictions on hits.

XFL may survive as the NFL becomes more pussyfied. They also won't have money worth suing.

And I'm sure it will be old school scripted, as well.

That's what I've said from the start, the key to surviving for the XFL is having a different game than the NFL. Different rules, less rules, less penalties, less reviews, less stoppages, etc. Why would you watch an alternate football league that was just same rules as NFL with inferior players? They need to really REIMAGINE the sport of football, like McMahon said.

If they know what they're doing, they won't get sued at all, no matter what rules are in place. NFL got their asses sued because they spent all that time and effort to ignore and even hide the dangers of their own sport. If they'd have acknowledged it all from day one, they'd have been fine.

XFL won't be that dumb. They'll have their "i"s dotted, and their "t"s crossed.

Whether the product they put on the field is worth anyone's time is a completely different matter. If they go full gimmick-mode again, they'll fail just as quickly as they did the first time, or get stuck on SpikeTV or wherever, where their viewership will be just enough to keep them afloat until McMahan decides it's not worth the effort to keep it going.

I hope these new leagues last long enough so I can watch a 50-year old James Harrison dominating the XFL or AAF!

Barry Bonds was still slugging homers into his mid 40's with the help of a little juice. No reason Deebo can't keep going. However, Goofwell is testing him nearly every week. He wants to sign with a new team after this years draft. Good luck D.

Maybe they should have a league with 1970s hit and steroids legal, have the players sign a release that says, I understand I might die and my family is barred from suing the league. lol.

Of course not. But that's not because people don't want to see it, it's because they're ashamed to admit they'd love to watch it, lol.

NFL network used to have a program highlighting guys getting blown up with big hits. Don't see it anymore.

But the point is, if they still ad it, people would watch. They stopped showing it to be PC.

You can still see them on YouTube. Search NFL big hits.

Nick tried. But kept landing on NFL big dicks instead.

After a few tries he figured it didn’t matter anyways as he was being “entertained” all the same.

What do you watch football for? Is it a serious religion or your job? Or do you watch it to be entertained?

Watching this team over the past many many years has been a bit of a religion for me one could say.

Watching some of the decisions they make of late has made it feel more like a job and not nearly the “religious” experience it was in the past.

I was just busting your balls with my comment. Don’t take it too seriously.

I liken this place to sitting around drinking at the bar. Some ball busting is bound to happen.

If this is a bar, it’s one mechanical bull and spurned offensive coordinator away from being Tequila Cowboy.

Player safety/kickoff summit 5/1-2. Looking to make it more safe or eliminate it.
