Gotta be like 52 years old.

That's how old he looked on the field last season.

Look at it this way, keeps us from re-signing him.

Both you are correct. Gay is ancient in NFL age and the Giants signing him means the Steelers actually have to look elsewhere. Although the whole Cody Sensabaugh scenario is still baffling to me. If Gay could play safety he may not have been released. I think he doesn't make it out of Giants camp and is re-signed by Pittsburgh at a later date. JMO

Apparently, the Giants are more desperate that the Steelers for secondary help.

I hope Gay DOES stick with the Giants. We need to move on from Gay, and Mitchell and Moats. These older vets are not able to play special teams and help in that area and are taking up spots on the roster that should be going to young prospects. I don't want to see any of those three brought back on some cheap vet minimum deal at the end of August. If we do, if they have to, it probably means that they struck out completely in the draft and free agency.

That's a thoroughly depressing list. Say what you want about Sensabaugh, I wouldn't trade him and Burnett for that entire burning bag of dogshit the Gints have acquired.

Can't wait to see him 5 yards behind receivers down the field, especially in a NYG uniform.
