Following link contains Pro Football Weekly's first draft value chart based on input from NFL personnel. Some surprises I saw: Jarron Gilbert slated for early in the 3rd round, William Beatty as a late 2nd, and Sean Smith as an early 3rd.

Does anyone track these various draft professionals year-to-year?

Lots of people. It is all guess work because none of these "experts" sees the stuff that the real NFL scouts and FO people see like medical history and interviews.

I just love the draft for fun. I love looking at the players and projecting them for this system or that. I never could take myself seriously enough to say that any prediction I could make would be any where near the level of rational analysis that someone like Bill Polean Or Bill Parcells or Colbert has at their fingertips. The only fuck-up that I and many on this form are equal too or, most likely, exceed is Mike Brown.

And I discount Gooslen's last "mock" as a mock. It is more of a journalist being able to use his connections the day before the draft. Even though he talks to all of the GM or at least someone in the FO he only gets about 70-80% right. I think a monkey could get 30% right.

I'll toss something out that I think will happen. DT, epically a DT that someone thinks, might, possibly, maybe, has a chance to play NT, will get over drafted. 4 teams moving to the 3-4. At least one team in the 3-4 ( Miami) that could use a NT. It will be the position of big reach.

Stopped reading when I saw Donald Washington with a 2nd round value. Not going to happen

Looks pretty accurate to me. I've thought that Jumpin' Jarron Gilbert was a tad overrated on Steelers fan boards.

I like Alphonso Smith more than Darius Butler. What's the real knock on Smith? There isn't one. I think he's about even with Jenkins to be honest. Would be excellent value at 32.

Sean Smith could be a good player. Utah's D, in the one time I saw them, looked for real.

The problem is he's a tweener. That may not be bad. I actually think the Steelers could use a FS. Don't know if Smith is the fit though.

The Gilbert thing mystifies me a little bit. I look at the guy's workout numbers, and his rawness, and I don't see him in B&G... He was a bit faster on his pro day after having dropped weight- I think a 4-3 defense is going to want him to be a DE and drop 10-20 lbs. If that's the case, I don't think he makes it out of the 1st round.

I also don't think NT is going to be any more "overvalued" this year than it would be any other year. A solid, plug-him-in NT like Hampton is always a 1st round pick. But there's never more than 2-3 of those guys in a given draft, and they don't always go in the first.
