Starling Marte. Give him time. He's not ready now.
Funny thing is some here just last season were saying bring him up and trade Cutch. Wow. I won't mention names.
Back to the point, there is definitely a reason we don't see Starling on the major league club at this point. We may not even see a trade with his name in it.

This is a damn good baseball team, good teams don't worry about how many games over .500 they are, they just take it for granted. That's where I'm at. Now those that are concerned first with getting to 81 wins, that's understandable. But I hope that while you're obsessing that, you don't miss one hell of a ride!

I'm having a great ride....I don't expect a collapse...I would not be surprised if the Buccos finished with 92-96 wins. After 20 years...Still a little Leary . I will put this in cartoon terms. I am Charlie Brown....I gave that little bitch Peppermint Patty a beating for the old pull the ball trick...Next time I go to kick the ball I am 99% sure she won't be playing games....In the back of my mind I remember my ass hitting the turf and being laughed at

Yeah, Peppermint Patty always treated "Chuck" right. She also had a devastating fastball. Marte will get his chance, but he needs to fix some stuff down in Indy. Take your time,Starling!

Marte sees your criticism and raises you a HR estimated at 480-500 feet. That's not a typo. http://www.milb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20120722&content_id=35412718&vkey=pr_t484&fext=.jsp&sid=t484Quote: Sunday night's contest began with a bang as after a one-out single by CF Jose Tabata, Marte connected on a mammoth home run that some believe may not yet have landed. The blast, which was Marte's 12th on the season and put the Tribe ahead 2-0, was approximated by some to possibly have travelled in upwards of 480-500 feet. There's more... Quote: Despite there being no outs, RF Ben Guez, who had reached on a hit by pitch earlier in the frame, would be sent home where he would be easily gunned down on an perfect throw from Marte. 3-5 on the night.

Good stuff, skool, I'm for it. Inconsistency though, at AAA, is a sign he needs a bit more seasoning.
