VanWilder wrote: Prometheus was bad to the fucking ass...especially if you're a fan of the Alien trilogy. Agreed. I thoroughly enjoyed. Really sends you home thinking about all the ways it affects the story of the franchise as a whole. I've read that Ridley Scoot only acknowledges the first 2 films as canon. There's alot of subtle things in there that will require multiple viewings. Can't wait for the Director's Cut. I've read also that his next film (another set before Alien in the timeline) has been green lit. SPOILER ALERT!!!I like how he shied away from the traditional xenomorph as it had been diluted after all the exposure, and showed it in a more rudimentary and less evolved form. I love how just like with the humans that came later, the "engineers" were every bit as unsuccessful at controlling and/or weaponizing what they (i think) had created and were overtaken by it. I also love how the derelict on LV426 is completely different than the ones on the new planet in Scott's film. So I hope the next film tells whether the engineers were rendered extinct by the "black stuff". I'd love to know if it really was their creation as a bio weapon or if it was something they stumbled upon and tried to control. And if you're really into Alien and video games, then Aliens: Colonial Marines will finally be hitting stores in February. It is being designed as a true sequel to Aliens and will return to the derelict ship Sulaco in search of Ripley/Hicks and to the planet LV426 (which will be interesting since they set off the nuke at the end of Aliens). The story is being written by the guys from Battlestar Galactica and the studio even consulted with Ridley Scott. Tie-ins with the Prometheus storyline were hinted at. /nerd outburst

Enjoyed the Avengers even though I'm not a comic book guy.
Interesting to see which hero is stronger than the other.

God help her with no waves, lol. It was tough to digest, but overall a good flick. So...I hate pop culture, but I dont want to kill anyone? It might take something that extreme to make America take a colletive look in the mirror though...? btw Donnie Darko was badass, same co that produced this flick

The portrayal of our society was SO spot on, I found myself trying to think if some of what he was watching was real.
