Batch looked like a deer in head lights on oxygen at times last year. I wonder why they don't have a solid developmental guy on the roster already. I guess the PS feel they can milk one more year out of these guys.

Batch is an acceptable game manager type. He can be counted on not to shit the bed against the Rams, Browns, and the 4-12 Bucs. I *think* and it is only my opinion, that the Steelers would like to have a guy that might provide a few different looks (like a deep ball) against the playoff teams. Lefty was that guy, but he just can't stay on the field. The Dixon experiment is over. Johnson is the new Dixon and might play if/when Batch and Lefty get injured in camp.

Absolutely how they feel. And we'll be fucked once again when Lefty breaks his leg planting to throw and Batch can only shotput the ball to make it go forward.

I think they need to draft a good QB prospect next year. As with the O line, picking up these boneyard guys doesn't get it done.

The Niners game last year is a perfect example of why Batch can't enter this year as the primary backup at QB. The staff just doesn't think he can win a big game. Didn't have the confidence necessary to sit Ben in a game most agree he shouldn't have played because Ben at 50 percent gave the team a better chance.

Rams? Browns? There are posters on this board who could have started at QB and led the team against those two ships of fools. But when the big game was on the line? No confidence. That position should have been addressed this offseason.
