Thanks for posting the info.....................
Thinking about going with my two boys..............anyone have some tips on when to go? What dates will see the most activity.................I would assume a few days to a week into camp would be the most active practices. Seems like the night practice at Latrobe Stadium would be nice............when do they start the goal line drills?
Anyone have some nice places to stay around the area?............... can you bring small coolers in?...................spread a blanket on the hill or is it just standing room? Practices begin at 3;00..............i would imagine they open the gates earlier in the day? autograph sessions? Steeler bars or restaurants in the area?................
Thanks

Thanks The Latrobe practice is great. You can bring about anything in coolers except alcohol and a lot of people place blankets all over the hill. Greensburg is close by for lodging. Gates normally open around 1:30 when there is a 3:00 practice. Autographs are always at the end when the players walk up to the dorms. This requires getting in to positions and fighting off all the idiots that bring thir entire house to be signed and will block kids in a heartbeat. There is a lot of other activities, especially for kids that are available and they usually have a mobile Steelers merchandise store on campus.

Definitely worth taking the kids. They'll have a blast. Thanks for posting the info/calendar. I like the counter on the front page to countdown the 1st open practice. 65 days though?

Thanks Stosh, don't know if you'd be willing to take notes & post them here, but that would be awesome. Probably hard to do with kids. Anyone else going to TC this year, that might be willing to do the same? I always appreciate those.

Thanks Temps in the region been in the lower 90's, assume no change during camp even though mid 80's is forecast. Fluids & sun screen are a given; also suggest the kids wear hats with decent brims, even sun glasses.

I think Tuesday 31st is the practice when I plan on taking the road trip up from DC. I usually get up there at least every other year. Probably hit downtown for a primanti sandwich or two. Then hit the stadium and breath the fresh air check out the chief statue then roll out to Latrobe and watch practice before heading back to DC. Will post notes and any decent photos when I get back.
