The Pacers exec's comments after last night's loss to the Heat:

Larry Bird: “I can’t believe my team went soft. S-O-F-T. I’m disappointed. I never thought it would happen.”

Boston talk radio is reminiscing about related comments he made after a loss to the Lakers in the '84 Finals, Game 3:

"We just played like a bunch of women."

Next game, Kevin McHale clotheslined Kurt Rambis, and Celts went on to win in 7 games.

Only problem is in today's game the players can't get away with throwing blows without severe consequences. I'd like to see it but after the pistons/pacers brawl the league went ape shit on fighting

I'd guess in all those clips no one involved got more than a 1 game suspension.....IF that at all

I remember Parcells getting into a little hot water referring to Terry Glenn as "she."

Right....said that "she" was "wearing her high heels."

The owner's wife didn't like that.

They're gone. They were more stupid than soft, heaving threes instead of going low where they had an advantage.

Celtics were robbed blind by refs in game 2. Waste of a great Rondo performance.

NBA refs are the worst. Never any type of consistency. I remember this non flagrant in a critical playoff game

but back to yesterday. A clear slap to Rondo's face, Wade employing the old Karl Malone leg extended kick. I'm sure Boston will now get calls in their favor on their home court
