Thought fight was closer than the judges had it.

That being said...Mayweather is incredible. His defense is just silly. I don't see Pacquiao beating him.

But as good as he is at dodging punches, he's even better at dodging fights.

Wide gap on the final card isn't necessarily indicative of the fight. If Mayweather barely wind every round it will add up and look like a huge victory.

I only had him up 3 rounds, but what do I know.

If mayweather does ever fight Pacquiao and fights like he did last night, it'll be an easy win.

For which fighter?

Manny lost his last fight. I know he officially won, but everyone watching it knew he had lost. One of the most BS decisions I have ever seen. Furthermore, you have to compare styles. Cotto's style is very different than Pac-Man. Pac-Man is actually a better fight for FMM style-wise than Cotto. Assuming it would be a similar fight is crazy.

I'm saying an easy win for FMM. Pacquiao struggles with good defensive fighters. FMM is one of the best ever. His defensive game was the best it's ever been last night. Not only does he keep everyone to 20%, he is tough as nails and as a hell of a chin. Hell, in 43 fights he has only been down twice -- one due to a broken hand where he took a knee and the other wasn't ruled a knockdown. I've only seen him legitimately staggered once as well (a few fights back, blanking on the fighter).

The fight will never happen. Floyd and his undefeated record is a bigger draw than Floyd with a loss. How many people watch Floyd fight just because they hope to see his first loss? On the other side of the coin, Pac is Bob Arum's golden goose and really his only PPV calibre fighter at this point. If he loses then the draw gets smaller. I don't think either side really wants this fight which is why it hasn't happened.

Which really is everything wrong with boxing summed up in one case study.

No question. I love boxing but it's in trouble and it's all because of the promoters.
