He's more 3WR set kind of guy, put a RB in the slot at times. 2TE was Arians thing. Can't see us keeping any more than 3 TE's tops, maybe even 2.
I disagree about Mendenhall. I don't know the severity of his injury, hard to imagine 8 month recovery for ACL for a RB
I think the 4th OT comes down to Jon Scott and this Trevis Turner guy everyone seems to like. Don't know much about him.
I don't really see a spot for both Rainey and Batch, I think thats a position battle. Don't think John Clay is a fit either. I agree with you IC - I think Mendenhall is on the PUP and he may be done with the Steelers. Also I have a feeling about the Frederick kid at CB, I am reading a lot about him and he may be a sleeper. I am also worried about our safety position - I am thinking this may be a 1st or 2nd round choice next year.

He did just start Flozell Adams at LT in another thread. The Flozell Adams references are likely some sort of Freudian slip.

My stab at it. Perhaps the FO decides to IR Mendenhall and in turn sign a veteran CB for depth. Or perhaps when Colon breaks a nail.

Nobody talking yet about Troy Smith winning a spot and bouncing Lefty or C. Batch? Any thoughts?

If he brings his playbook knowing "the system" won't be a major advantage. Would love to see some new blood here. Not that Soft Batch cAn't steal a game from time to time.

Doesn't stop me from speculating who comes in for the official 30 to vist before the draft, who we'll draft, who will make the final 53 either and finally who will be the starters on gameday. All in good fun. That's what it's all about to me. I know I'll be wrong and that doesn't bother me.

So, I would lay dollars to dog nuts that come cut down time, the poachers will be out in force this year to gobble up the Steelers' catch-n-released fish. I'm certain the PSFO knows that too. Do you think that fact influences any of these players' chances of holding a spot in the 53? It'd sure suck to lose any of these guys that could really make a statement as Pittsburgh Steelers in another year or two. Guys like: WR Clemons DE Igbin Ein Jelly Doughnut S Golden Thoughts? Musings? Anecdotes? anything to help the offseason pass more quickly...???
