Right now before the season has even started and we know who even made the roster makes this difficult at best. Let alone the season unfolding yet. I'll play still... Upon Internet Research..... Funny, I just came here to start a thread about top players for 2013 and possible Steelers picks. I'll just add to this thread.
Needs: OLB - Harrison may be done. Worilds/Carter may not be the answer and this D is built around pass rush. S - Clark could be done, and Polamalu needs an understudy. CB - Depends on how the young guys do, but Ike is about done. ILB - Will Spence ever be a starter? Regardless Foote will be gone and they at the very least need a 4th ILB. RB - Probably can't afford Mendenhall. TE - Miller is an UFA, and they will have cap issues. WR - May not be able to afford to keep Wallace and/or Brown.
Top prospects: OLB - Jarvis Jones, Georgia. / Sam Montgomery & Barkevious Mingo LSU / Alex Okafor Texas / Brandon Jenkins FSU ILB - Gerald Hodges PSU / Manti Teo Notre Dame / Shane Skov Stanford / Kevin Reddick UNC / CJ Mosley Bama / S - Robert Lester Bama / TJ Mcdonald USC / Eric Reid LSU / Abe Elam Florida / CB - Xavier Rhodes FSU / Honey Badger LSU / Jon Banks Miss St RB - Marcus Lattimore S Carolina / Montee Ball Wisconsin / Ray Graham Pitt / Andre Ellington Clemson / Ed Lacy Bama TE - Tyler Eiffert Notre Dame / Joe Fauria UCLA WR - Keenan Allen Cal / Terrence Williams Baylor / Robert Woods USC / Sammy Watkins Clemson
I'd love to land Jarvis Jones as a replacement for Harrison, but he'll probably go too high. Pretty gppd potential crop at ILB, probably can get a guy in round 2 or 3. I am a big Robert Lester fan at FS, I am against drafting RBs in round 1, but if Lattimore is healthy, he'd be an absolute monster behind our new O-line.

Baccarri Rambo was suspended four games for his second failed drug test. If he loses his appeal he's expected to enter the NFL supplemental draft.
Perhaps he can "meet some conditions" for the Steelers as well.

I think we're talking about Quarterbacks this time next year. When Ben declines, it will be quick and ugly.
