This team showed heart and drive in games 4 and 5. What happened the other 4 games is anybody's guess. Mine is that each player will be doing some soul-searching in the off-season.

RAY SHERO has fucked up this team --

We lost guys like Hal Gill, Rob Scuderi, Bill Guerin, Talbot etc etc

and we replaced with guys like Martin, Michelik and Adams -- not a very good trade-off

our 2 most important players -- Crosby and malkin -- don't seem to have that key leadership quality that a guy like Guerin had

That's the Penguins fault.

The group of pussies embarrassed Pens fans everywhere, blew the series.

I disagree - after game 4 and 5 - these guys are not pussies for damn sure - an inconsistent Fleury + terrible defense killed us in the first 3 games - we should have won this series - we are better than Filthy.

that's not true -- they beat us 4 games to 2 -- therefore, they are better

Our team has had an early exit from the playoffs for 3 years IN A ROW

with all that talent, how does it happen? Ask yourself that question

it's not b/c of the refs

it's not b/c of cheap shots

it's not b/c the league wants us to fail

Well Fluery handed Montreal that particular series
Last year we were done in by injuries, of course Staal and Talbot were nowhere to be found
This year was an absolute team disgrace. I can't think of one player who had a decent series. Letang had some shitty moments, Sid, Staal, etc..the list goes on.
Even in Game 5 Sid and Geno's lines disappeared...

Pens got what they deserved in the end. It wasn't the refs, it wasn't NBC, it was EVERYONE including Byslma. I think he's barely above .500 in the playoffs and that's outlandish with a team having this much talent. Not calling for his head, but some self evaluation is in severe order here in the offseason.

The Flyers wanted it more. They responded with a goal everytime we scored in all 4 wins...pushback and heart was apparent....

I'll agree with that - we don't have that Guerin/Roberts spark plug to pick us up when we're mailing it in like we did today and for major parts of games 1-3. We have guys who are capable of playing hard, but sometimes I think we need someone to kick them in the ass and get them moving. As much as I hate the Bruins, they've got Lucic to be that presence. We don't seem to have anyone to do that - lots of role players, but no one to fire us up. We need to address that this summer.

Your right, Steel! Fliers are the better team. They were better in the regular season, better in the playoff series. That cannot be denied! With the exception of game 4, and the 2nd period of game 5, Philly owned the series. The better team won no excuses, plain and simple!

guerin was like 96 when he retired. shero was also responsible for bringing him here in the first place... adams was already here so it's not like he "replaced" anyone.

scuderi was the guy i was most upset about losing. talbot didn't do shit for them last year, but from an intangibles standpoint i wanted him back if it could happen for a reasonable pricetag. hal gill, meh, i'd rather have kept mark eaton to tell you the truth.

i despise milan lucic. dirty motherfucker who only gets away with his bullshit because he's bigger than anyone on the ice for the other team and he's got an even bigger guy to back him up in chara.

I hate him too, and maybe he wasn't the best example - I was trying to think of a pure energy (or "character" guy as Pierre would say) and he popped into my head because they're on now. Maybe the Asham suspension ended up hurting us more than I thought it would - we really could have used him today to go out there and run some people over to light a fire under us. Doesn't seem like Adams or Vitale were able to do that.

Speaking of the Bruins, Marchand with a huge flop and the Caps score right away.
