No one should ever ask you for your password to anything in terms of applying for a job.
I agree 100% with Steelafan. Society has gone way too far on the side of "protecting" and far away from any semblance of privacy. It's horseshit. Welcome to 1984.

Teacher fired for refusing to provide Facebook pass. Interesting, but the fact that she did something questionable that caused complaints to the school makes this a little different than an unprovoked demanding of a facebook password at an interview. I'm still not sure what getting her password would have proved, after the fact.

A lot of people do things questionable in their "private" lives (and if I read right, this was a private photo).
Could an employer demand a key to your home because they suspect you look at raunchy porn?

I have a fb account that doesn't use my real name
That I use to talk hos/strippers/partiers.
I may use one to talk to regular folks one day...
If someone asks for your password....tell them you'd like a written
Request....then contact a lawyer
