I wouldn't say Poe's stock is dropping, I"d say its starting to get back to where it should've been all along. He's not a first RD talent, and now its starting to be recognized. I won't even be shocked to see Poe fall to 3rd Round.

Some guys I like starting to get some due are Fletcher Cox, Harrison Smith, and Phillip Blake

Has Mike Adams as 3rd OT, not sure I agree, but talent falls off after Kalil.

Really like kendall Wright, his skillset screams WCO Cleveland Browns to me

Now Mayock has spoken, the twitter hacks are sure to adjust their rankings accordingly.

I've been on the "poe in the 3rd, absolutely no earlier" bandwagon for awhile. The fact that he is SO athletic at his size is what truly gives me so much pause.

I've always seen Poe as end of the 1st/beginning of the 2nd. Someone will reach on him.

of course someone will reach on him. Pure planet theory

i'll say this much. If a coach could get through to him and tell him NOT to do ANYTHING other than bullrush every play, and I was confident he could keep his pads down, I'd do it.

this is a weird draft because you have luck and rg3, then you have kalil, then you have...

who knows. difference between #4ish and #40ish this year is pretty small. at 4, maybe Claiborne, or Coples, or Reiff, or Richardson...

is anyone really that confident those guys will be better than Robinson, Jones, Martin, or Miller?

I think Blackmon will be better than Hill, but I wouldn't bet money on it. DeCastro and Keuchly look like legit blue chip guys, but their positions pull them back into the pack.

Poe looked like he could be above that fray; but his tape says otherwise.

I've heard that he was essentially overcoached at memphis... that he was thinking way too much and not simply using his athletic skills. Don't know exactly what to make of that, as far as projecting him... but I wouldn't be shocked to see him go in the 1st. Just the chance to have Haloti Ngata II would get a lot of teams' motor running.

My issue with Poe from the games that I watched him was that he was ineffective when he was asked to play NT, and not he's somehow projected to be the top NT in the draft? His athleticism rushing the passer from 5 tech really stood out, but he didn't make a ton of plays. All of the tools are there, but the results aren't. I'd have a hard time pulling the trigger on Poe in round 1 if I were a GM. Classic boom or bust.

These next couple weeks are going to see many players' fortunes fall.

I think that the closer we get to the draft the more Hightower will see his draft stock fall. Even Cosell of late has been questioning his lateral quickness, balance and burst to even make tackles against the run. And others question his ability to rush the passer at the NFL level. I just see a bust factor with Hightower.

I made one mock draft and picked Harrison Smith in round 1 and had people laugh at me for it. Mayock and others talk of how he may time in the mid 4.5s but his smarts and instincts make him look on tape like a 4.4 type of player, speed-wise. He was a linebacker and then moved to safety and he did have 7 INTs that one season. I think he would look fantastic on our defense and he would have the benefit of learning from Troy and Ryan and would offer a seamless transition when either Troy or Clark is gone. In the meantime he would play a lot in the various packages and probably start 2-4 games a year when Clark and Troy have their injuries.

Philip Blake is a prospect that I would not touch until round 5 and the reason is because he is just too damn old! He will turn 27 in november.

The problem with that pick is, it pulls Troy out of the box. I don't think Harrison Smith is the top FS or top Safety fit for the Steelers and their needs/D as presently constructed/state of the NFL.

The Steelers could most use a versatile guy... someone who is not a liability in centerfield and, if they're really lucky, who can also cover a TE or slot player and mix it up in the run game. If there was ever a year for hybrid players, this is it.

DaQuan Menzie, Josh Norman, Omar Bolden, Micah Pellerin, Brandon Hardin, Justin Bethel, Johnson Bademosi... the type of player I think fits. DaQuan Menzie, Norman, Bethel, Hardin, Bademosi all very interesting to me.
