Well, it is for me anyways :D

Parameters:
1. No more cuts are made.
2. Steelers sign TE Leonard Pope, CB William Gay.
3. Steelers pick 24th.
4. Steelers granted two 7th Round compensation picks.

Selections:
1. ILB Donta Hightower, Alabama
He is the epitome of a Steelers player: tough, smart, and a leader. He can lead this defense for the next decade.

2. OG Amini Silatolu, Midwestern State
He is an athletic guard with power and feisty nature to his game. He can be the anchor at either guard spot.

3. NT Josh Chapman, Alabama
He slips due to the ACL injury, he can learn behind Hampton and McClendon.

4. OG Lucas Nix, Pittsburgh
Another guy who is athletic and has power some nasty to his game. He can compete for either guard spot.

5. WR/RB/KR/PR Chris Rainey, Florida
Haley has always had a jack of all trades guy. Rainey fits that bill and can take over the return man responsibilities immediately.

6. WR Greg Childs, Arkansas
Childs improved his numbers at his pro day, ensuring him a spot to be drafted in the latter rounds. Childs has size, speed, and good burst out of his routes.

7a. OLB Jacques Smith, Mizzou
Smith is an good athlete with some natural pass rush ability.

7b. FS Kelcie McCray, Arkansas State
Another gifted athlete, he can play either safety spot.

7c. DE Ryan Van Bergen, Michigan
He has prototypical size and has improved his play under Brady Hoke.

Really like this draft. Don't know much about Silatolu, but I do hear he is rising the boards.
Nix in the 4th is excellent as we fix both OG spots.

Nice job smith...

I like it. Your slotting is realistic.

I endorse the Rainey in the 5th round pick.

I'd be happy with that. I'd also take a hard look at Guard B. Brooks.

Both small school guys but Brooks is bigger stronger and faster.

Just listened to a lengthy interview with him on MTC.

He said he was a SS in college, although he did play some in FS and dime. Also said he never practiced the agility drills properly before combine; however, he's got good footwork and hopes to dramatically better times at pro day mar 27th.

He is a math major... Very smart kid... Made all the secondary calls for 2-3 years. Aced the chalkboard stuff in meetings with teams and with Tim and Pat. Interesting kid.

This means the Steelers have signed Mike Wallace.

Hate to be a killjoy, but Hightower struggled on his pro day and his times for the short shuttle (4.68) and 3-cone drill (7.55), but both bad and would have made him the slowest linebacker at the combine by some way. Hell, lots of defensive tackles posted better times. He is simply too stiff to cover anyone in the pro's and is strictly a 2 down player and therefore NOT a 1st round pick.

Not just my opinion, check out the following on http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2012/writers/tony_pauline/03/01/pro.days/?xid=cnnbin

Quote:
In Tuscaloosa, Don'ta Hightower stood on his 40 time from the combine, but did improve one inch in the vertical jump, touching 33 inches. During drills, Hightower showed some stiffness changing direction and was not quick in coverage drills. His backpedal looked mechanical and forced, while Hightower showed little in the way of being able to burst out of his plant. He's a big, forceful linebacker with solid straight line speed, but Hightower did nothing today to dispel the belief he's a two-down defender.

(COUGH) Bullshit

I promise you I've watched as many Alabama games as any one of you and as politiely as I can say this Donta' Hightower IS a 3 down linebacker. Rushing the passer IS one of his strengths. Until Goodell says otherwise, that's still permissible on 3rd down or any down for that matter.

Donta Hightower: "I'm not a 3 down linebacker, I'm a 4 down linebacker...I play special teams too."

Mike Mayock: "Scouts I talked to raved about his ability as a pass rusher. He's an ascending 1st round pick."

Good Mock Smokin'...enjoy you're spring break and your youth...Salut
