as an aside... not so much for the Steelers RD 1 pick: thoughts on what Coby Fleener projects to be as an NFL player? I can't decide if he'll live up to the hype... haven't seen him play enough

Just my opinion...but Fleener sucks. He is Heath Miller without the blocking ability. I don't see elite separation or RAC ability. Even if he develops that, he's Chris Cooley. I would take him in the 4th, but no where near the 1st.

That's kind of the vibe I got... which is what makes me concerned he Steelers would consider him.

Miller and Cooley are both pretty productive TE's... Generally, if a player is more or less a lock to produce in the NFL, they are gone in R1 or R2. Thus, the label "bust".

By that standard, Fleener is likely gone in the late first (just like Heath Miller). Fleener has better hands than Miller, and better speed. The only way they are similar is that they both ended their senior seasons with injuries...

yeah, he's better than Heath as a receiver, and better than Mike Wallace as a blocker...it's like God decided to assemble The Perfect Football Player.
