I'll throw out a hidden gem

Scott Solomon DE Rice

6'3 262
34 bench
35 Vertical
10'4" broad
4.12 Shuttle
7.17 cone

This guy is marked for a 7th round pick but has great potential at OLB. Sack leader at Rice and a leader. I'm a fan of using KEI for picking out quick twitch OLBs and Solomon has a KEI of 79. Anything over 70 is very good. I think Joey Porter had a KEI of 83

or maybe a guy like James Hanna in the last round....

Combine Numbers
6'-4"
252 lbs
40- 4.49
Vert-36”
Broad Jump-10-2”
20 Yard Shut-4.11
3 Cone-6.76

Very good athlete that can create some mismatches down the field and has decent hands. His catching radius could also help in the redzone.

Could be worth that late round flyer....

jebrick,

I'm with you on the use of the KEI.

I'm not sure how far he would drop due to his troubles in college, but if Oliver Vernon out of Miami (FL) is there in the 4th thru 6th I'd like the PS to take a chance on him a-la W. Saunders. If he learns how to drop and cover he could be a very good OLB in our system.

I believe his KEI is around 76!

Just my opinion...I'm not a fan of Oliver Vernon because he has a bad work ethic and is not smart. Someone will draft him. I would get Solomon who was a team leader and academic all-American.

And I'm with you with James Hanna. That could be a weapon.

If Rich Eisen keeps improving his 40 times, by the time he's 65 he could be a first rounder.

<<we can't let him go to Baltimore. He'll kill someone wearing black and gold>>

Ding ding ding you win the prize.

Burflict shit the bed in the combine and now the Ravens are desperate to seamlessly replace Ray Ray.

We can't let them do it. Drafting Hightower is now a near certaintly unless someone else gets him first.

Because of the situation with the Ravens, you HAVE to take Hightower.

I don't know if I agree with that premise Deebo. I think the rats look at drafting OL/Konz. Birk is ancient by NFL standards and they have no one behind him. Konz would be the logical choice. Especially after FT Rice. I think the rats look at mid RD ILB's or FA. (stop gap tactic) JMO

Jesus, I just saw on walterfootball.com that Burflict went from mid 1st round to mid 4th based on combine

I guess Brady Quinn feels better

Who here was all jacked up about him in a Steeler uni?

I think the big hype on him was he had a great game vs. USC. So did Bruce Davis...
