The Penguins claim it's over, but I wouldn't be surprised to see some fireworks.

Malkin practiced hard and is a game time decision.

Nabokov in goal for the Islanders, Gillies might play.

We've got a ton of injuries so I'd rather not risk suspensions or more injuries. If we have the choice, I'd say we don't initiate anything this time around - let's wait until we get some of our regulars back before we risk more lost time and more Baby Pens playing for the big club.

Having said that, we owe them a complete and total ass-whooping some time. If it has to be now, then let's do it right - outscore, outhit, and outfight them.

After that dastardly debacle brought about by the Isle goons on 2-11, both teams managed to play a somewhat civilized game two months later.
I would expect this game to be tame as well.

You know Bylsma will tell Potash that he wants the team to get 'into its game' and establish puck possession in the offensive zone, but underneath DB will be prepared for battle.

Here is the penalty sheet for the third period from the game on February 11, 2011

True, but the Pens had a critical 2 points to earn by that time and Bettman and pals told both teams there could be significant suspensions if any tomfoolery occured. With the playoffs looming the Pens didn't chance anything.

I feel like there will be some scores to settle this time around.

There are teams that grate you, but underneath there is a respect factor present: Wings, Caps, and yes even the Flyers. But the Isles are in an entirely different category unto themselves and are precisely what the thread title suggests- absolute fucking scum and I have no issues with a few skate clicks in the corners for these faggots.

Mac didn't skate on a regular line this morning, but that doesn't mean much.

I'm going to guess and say no Gillies/no Mac.

Martin/Asham will be one bout.

It kills me that i'll miss this game tonight......freakin' beer league playoffs. I'll have the wife record it for sure and watch when I get home. I hope Gillies plays. Godard's "fight" with him in the follow up game last year was one of the most pathetic efforts i've ever seen in hockey fisticuffs......a close second to Semin's slap fight.

Gillies is an Augusta native and fine human being.

Trevor should be thankful he and Mac are scratched ;)
