Quote: Cooke gets a shot to the head. I'm not as sure as that as the homer announcers were. Malkin should be tossed from game....BS.

The Penguins dominated that period.
Niskanen with easily the best period of his Penguins career..if not his NHL career.
If all he needs is confidence to make it click, watch out.
Malkin really opened up that period. It was great to see.
The hard workers worked hard. Adams had a nice rebound period. Asham played well. Jordan Staal was causing havoc. Just brilliant work. Faceoffs...puck control...transition game...hustle.
The Penguins had 2 more power play goals.
It was almost like the Flames rode the wave of opening night for the first then realized they were the Flames and they have like 3 good players. Iginla is being canceled out this game.

Quote: It was almost like the Flames rode the wave of opening night for the first then realized they were the Flames Haha!! so true Quote: they have like 3 good players. Iginla is being canceled out this game. Not a surprise...Iginla's been battling back issues all preseason....i'm afraid its going to haunt us....and, like you pointed out....we're not exactly deep Although...if we could get any consistency out of Bourque and Glencross that would go a long way. And I like Iginla (healthy) and Tanguay much better with Backlund on the line...6 weeks for him. Also watch out for Giordano this year...he's going to have a great year. Flames will start off horrendous....make a push at the end of the year that falls short. 1 Sutter fired, 1 to go.
