2010 WRs I know the NFL is a passing league but this year’s crop of WR’s doesn’t impress me. My philosophy this year is going to be to rank some of the younger wrs higher than the old vets whenever possible and hope to catch a Sidney Rice type…A player entering his 3rd year and waiting to emerge. I’m sticking to my personal belief of drafting my rbs and qb before drafting one of many mediocre wrs should I miss out on a top 5 talent. 1. Andre Johnson- Nobody else comes close IMO. Beast playing for new contract.
2. Randy Moss- Brady and Moss playing for new contract and possibly new team. I think Welker comes back healthy.
3. Miles Austin- best RAC wr in league this side of Santonio Holmes. Kid had nearly 1,400 yds and 11 tds and wasn’t a factor the 1st month of the season. Dallas will have an explosive offense and this kid will be a big reason.
4. Reggie Wayne-I hate safe picks. I like being the one who uncovers a gem. Wayne is consistent and Manning’s #1 target.
5. Brandon Marshall- I play in PPR league so he’s going to be high on my list. I like Henne and think Marshall will be a team player with the phins.
6. Larry Fitzgerald- one of my favorite players but I may drop him even further given the Cards shaky qb situation and Whiz shifting toward running game.
7. Calvin Johnson-Not a pick for the faint of heart. Always injured and doesn’t appear to be high effort player but this kid has incredible talent. I saw him play on couple occasions at Tech and his ability is jaw dropping. Stafford can flat out throw the football. If you’re a gambler like me Johnson’s your man.
8. Roddy White-saw every Falcon game last year. He disappears for long stretches then will get catches in bunches usually in 4th qtr. He wasn’t a big deep threat last season he did have knee issue throughout the season. As Ryan improves so will White’s numbers but I’ll take 85/1,153/11 tds.
9. Sidney Rice- only if Favre comes back. Here’s an example of a kid who blossomed in his 3rd year when given a pro bowl qb. Rice will be big in PPR leagues. He really impressed me against the Steelers.
10. DeSean Jackson- I drafted this kid pretty late and it paid off but each week I had to sweat out his name being on injury report with some minor ailment. Not great in PPR but he had his biggest weeks with Kolb at qb. And guess what... he’s entering his 3rd year so I expect big numbers.
11. Steve Smith- Not of the Panthers No, No. This Steve Smith plays for the Giants. Another guy who exploded in his 3rd year with 107/1,220/7tds. I’d rank him higher but I see Hakeem Nicks really coming on this year.
12. Marques Colston-Too many weapons in the Big Easy but kid was healthy this year and I’ll take his 70/1,074/9tds all day.
13. Greg Jennings- Same problem as Colston. Too many weapons in GB. Jennings banged up last year. Saw every Packer game as Rodgers was my qb…he spreads the ball around and Jennings didn’t impress me as being a Rodgers favorite.
14. Michael Crabtree-I said I was going to rank some younger wrs higher than the old guys…here’s my curveball. Kid missed camp and only played in 11 games. Alex Smith was inserted later as starter so Crabtree had zero chance to bond but he still chipped in 48 catches. I think kid’s going to be a monster in PPR leagues. I see a poor man’s Brandon Marshall.
15. Vincent Jackson-Where do I put this kid? 4 game suspension and contract dispute. He was going in my top 5 before this mess. He’s Phil’s top target so if draft him in mid rounds and look at it as a steal when he finally gets in the lineup.
16. Percy Harvin-only if Favre shows up. Might be too early for some of you but I prefer youth and upside with my WRs. His migraine bullshit bothers me but the kid will be a starter and build on his impressive 60 catch 6 td rookie year.
17. Hakeem Nicks- More youth and upside. Had wrist injury and still had 16.8 avg and 6 tds.
18. Jeremy Maclin-You get the point…more youth and upside. Looked like a player ready to emerge in playoff loss to Dallas.
19. Pierre Garcon- What can I say I like them young…let’s go with a true boom or bust type IMO. 11 catches in title game show me this kid is on the verge of breaking out but Wayne had some injury issues that allowed Garcon to get more attention. Does Gonzalez get his job back? Watch this situation carefully in training camp and adjust ranking accordingly.
20. Mike Wallace-another young, boom or bust type. He may struggle upon Ben’s return when he tries to get some chemistry from a qb that to me under threw him too often last season.
21. Anquan Boldin-For those of you who like steady production with a limited ceiling. This is an example of an older player with limited upside that some of you may want to rank higher but to me he’s not even a safe pick. Injuries will ultimately scare me off with Boldin. He’s not a deep threat to help Flacco and the Ravens are a run first team.
22. Chad Ochocinco- Another Older player that may tumble down my final draft board. His production is tied to the health of Carson Palmer.
23. Hines Ward- Another aging Vet. 95 catches hard to ignore but will also be hard to duplicate.
24. Steve Smith-Yet another aging vet. Always one of my favorite players but Panthers simply not a passing team.
25. Donald Driver- Yet ANOTHER old guy but plays in high scoring Packer offense.
26. Mike Simms-Walker-Entering his 3rd season I like that…but what I don’t like is David Garrard or the Jags offense.
27. Kenny Britt-Exciting young deep threat, but can Vince get him the ball? I may bump him up if I see good things in preseason.
28. Santana Moss-Poor little bastard suffered playing for Jim Zorn and Jason Campbell. I look for re-bound under Shanahan and McNabb.
29. Robert Meachem-light came on for this kid in his 3rd year but still plays in diverse Saints offense where ball gets spread around.
30. Dez Bryant-usually there’s a rookie wr that has nice fantasy year Bryant could be that guy.
31. Dwayne Bowe-went from 86 to 47 catches last year after suspension and injuries etc. Maybe he can get his career back on track with Charlie Weiss running the offense.
32. Santonio Holmes-Draft him late and hide him on your bench until his suspension is over. Braylon not in same league as WR IMO.
33. Wes Welker-watch carefully for news of his status 34. Steve Breaston 35. Antonio Bryant 36. Lee Evans 37. Braylon Edwards 38. Louis Murphy 39. johnny Knox 40. Devin Aromashodu 41. TJ Who’syourmama 42. Austin Collie 43. Mo Massaquoi 44. TO-check to see who he signs with then move up 45. Eric Decker-just seeing if you’re paying attention. My favorite player in draft could be surprise in Denver. *Feel free to let me know names of sleepers you like as I’ll update rest of list closer to draft time.

Johnson sucks open ass...hes completely worthless now. Problem is, the second I bench him hell have a great game, then suck every other week I start him.
The golden rule of fantasy drafting: NEVER draft a Bungal

Good list drama
I'm not crazy about the WR's this year for some reason. Usually, theres about 10 guys I salivate for to have on my team. This year, not so much
