I'm a Cavs fan as most of you know, but this is fucking stupid.
Skip is an idiot and so is anyone who says LBJ fails late. He tries to defer too much at times but he carried the Cavs and carries the Heat now. Wade is out of his prime and injured. The Heat lose the Indiana series and lose last night if not for LBJ. You can't take away 3 quarters of a game. Same as you can't take away a RB's long runs as people tried to do with Willie Parker and others.

Great player, and with a normal sized head back then too. But when the post season rolled around, "pfffft". I used to call him Mr. September. Ugh, I agree. Makes me sick just thinking about him and Bonilla going 2 for 30 something every playoff series. Being a masochist, had to look back again, just to quanitify how pathetic Bonds was in the post-season: '90: 3 for 18, .167 (0 homeruns, 1 RBI) '91: 4 for 27 , .148 (0 homeruns, 0 RBI) '92: 6 for 23, .261 (1 homerun, 2 RBI) TOTAL: 13 for 68, .191 (1 homerun, 3 RBI) My hating Barry Bonds has zero to do with his being a prick, everything to do with his sub-.200 BA in the post-season for the Pittsburgh Pirates.....and, that the fucker was house-hunting in Atlanta during the '92 NLCS

You can't take away 3 quarters of a game when you're talking about whether the player is a good player or not -- I agree. But when you're talking about clutchness, it's perfectly fair to only look at the last quarter or the last few minutes of a game, depending on the situation.

My take on LeBron.
- He shat all over Cleveland. Not a bad thing because it's Cleveland. Fuck them.
- I'm a Celtics fan. We're supposed to hate him. I don't. Not particularly a big fan of his, but I'd take him to play for the Celtics anytime.
- He will win at least one NBA championship before he is done. Maybe this year. Maybe not but definitely sometime.

Steelknife wrote: The Lebron hate is because he will dominate for 3 quarters, but if it's close at the end, you'd better hope to god someone else steps up. Particularly in playoff games or the finals. That has not been the case this year. And even when someone else is stepping in, it's because they can. The Heat aren't like the Jordan Bulls- they don't NEED James to be "the guy" in the 4th Quarter. Although with Wade hurt, and Bosh out for a while, they needed him more, and he stepped up. He was clutch against Boston. He was clutch last night. he helped his team answer when the Thunder kept trying to come back, and then clinched the game by drawing the charging foul and sinking the FTs. And can we give the Thunder some fucking credit for the comebacks? They are a powerhouse offensive team. I think most people just don't want to admit they don't like James solely because of his stupid ESPN "Decision" show (which was Wade's fucking idea to begin with).
