WTF was this opening ceremony?
Looking forward to basketball and boxing (even though boxing is rigged every year). Want to see if any of the heavyweights look like they'll usher in a new era of pro boxing in a few years.
Also looking forward to the obvious ones that...uh...my gf makes me watch. Gymnastics, etc.

Opening ceremony started out decently but then the political/literary stuff with the NHS and kids nightmares went off the rails.
China was much better.
Should do a segment on the future where all the women wear burqas.

American boxers looked really good today.
Diaz dominated.
Gausho looked to be in trouble until he knocked his Armenian opponent down twice in the last 10 seconds for a TKO. Helluva fight.

I will watch the Basketball Wrestling Boxing Judo Volleyball swimming events track and field I also enjoy the weird events. In the winter, I enjoy the combination of skiing and shooting, and really like curling.

His dad lost his job so the son started boxing more seriously. Dad wanted to spend more time with his son so he read boxing books and watched YouTube videos and became his sons coach. Working out, it seems. Did anyone catch the archery? Italy needed a 10 (bullseye) on its last shot to top the US for gold and the dude did it. 9 would have sent it to a shoot off, 8 and US would have gotten gold. As for volleyball...Destinee Hooker? Serious with that name? Team USA basketball tomorrow. Should handle France easily.

Destinee Hooker is a beast. Walsh/May are looking vulnerable.

All the American boxer fights have been super entertaining. Must be a style thing.
