tonight please! KCorp get it done- I want to see at least a 5 game winning streak and then take our chances from there. And Lou, don't mind if you go 4 for 5 again tonight.

As much as I hate the idea of batting Josh Harrison second, he would be a HUGE upgrade over Barmes in that spot tonight.
What a horrible fucking batting order tonight. Maybe it works, but that doesn't mean it's smart.
Pedro shouldn't see a single hittable pitch tonight with Barajas hitting behind him. Why didn't Hurdle flip Pedro and Sanchez?

Holt Harrison Cutch Jones Gabby Pedro Fort Mercer
That should be the lineup

I'll tell you what. KCore came out and pitched his fucking heart out. He's been tough. Real tough. We need that.

I get on KCore, and he pissed me off with his sulky attitude when first demoted...but recently, I thought, yeah, he usually only gives us 5-6 with 3-4 runs given up, but they completely fucked him over while giving Bedard a fucking pass, and all KCore did was pitch consistent so you always know what you're gonna get from him. So I've softened my stance somewhat. And all the guys I dissed last night...Barmes, Presley, KCore, and Barajas...came through last night at some point (but dammit if Barajas didn't almost become the first person to ever be thrown out at the plate on a triple while advancing from first!)

A lot of folk get on KCore, I think unjustifiably, possibly because of his All-Star appearance last year for having a lot of first half wins. And then he kind of collapsed with everyone else last year at the end.
But, this year, he's been a gritty pitcher. If you think of him as a bottom of rotation guy, no more, no less, he's actually very decent. Keeps you in ball games most of the time, and aside from his griping around the trading deadline, and that godawful relief appearance he had right after that, he's been a tough hombre, and has been willing to do whatever has been asked of him after that brief incident. I actually am glad he's back in the rotation.
He won't stay after this year, probably can book on that. While Bedard had looked better on occasion (more the first month and a half than any other time with rare exceptions), what you got from KCore was pretty consistent low to middle 4 ERA work. Can't ask for much more from a 4-5 rotation guy, most of the time.
