Joe Frisaro, the Marlin reporter for MLB.com, refuted that Stanton was being shopped. He stated the Marlins have a long standing policy of stating they'd be open to trading anyone.

I read that the Marlins would be trying to dump bad contracts like Hanley Ramirez or Heath Bell
