He should get a BIG DBACKS Tie...If they still have an issue...The problem is with the club and he should hope they fire him. He will get a gig in a second
Daron Sutton is actually enjoyable calling a game...He is a throwback type that I really like

In my mind the absolute worst off the field move the Pirates ever made was replace the Gunner for Milo Hamilton. What were they fucking thinking?

What they did to the Gunner was more than beyond a tragedy. To me, it killed him. Literally. And it crushed a lot of young people at the time who loved listening to this man describe our team on the radio and TV. The Gunner was classic baseball. You won't find a better baseball play by play guy than The Gunner.

1. Thats why they are the DBAGS!
2. If you get a chance, catch a game with Vin Scully. He won't last forever, and he is the last of the best radio guys out there.

You have no idea who the Gunner was if you compare him to that bland mother. Scully isn't terrible but it's sacrilege to compare him to Bob Prince......he doesn't have a clue.

Oh, I wasn't comparing him to the Gunner. I was just saying he is the last of the old-timers. These days, you get a blandish play by play guy and an ex-player and they babble commercials at each other.

I'm a little defensive about Prince. He was an idol when I was growing up.

He's just totally bland compared to the gunner.

Gunner was truly a Prince, met him at Candlestick and Dodger Stadium over the years. Always dressed to the nines and affable as all get out!! A wondeful person.
Had a memorable 2 hr. lunch at the Hilton's Rifle and Plow , when it first opened. Cannot believe he wasn't allowed to finish his career, beyond sad!
