Unsung hero is Tabata !
He had two great plays in the game , throwing out that runner at the plate.
Taking third base when Phillips held the ball .
Great win !!! We take 4 out of six in the last two series against the 1st place Reds.
I BELEIVE !!!

and Hammer gets the "win" -- what a fucked up stat --
They should change the rules -- If you blow a save, you cannot get the win.

Tell you what. This win is right up there with the comeback against the Cubbies last July as far as biggest wins in recent history. Both those games it was the Fort that got the deciding clutch hit. That guy has a touch of hero in him and a flare for the dramatic. He is going to live in the memory of pirate fans a whole lot longer than most backup catchers could ever dream of.

Now let's hope he doesn't get fucked by another poor umpiring job this year in the 19th inning of a game with a blown call on a tag at the plate - we definitely don't need those types of "deja vu" plays this year!

Agree with you, SP and Steel, about The Fort . . .
So far reminds me a little of the Pirates' version of Rocky Bleier (hard-working, un-glamorous, gutsy).

What a fucking game!!! What a game! I couldn't get online during the game, but man! Drama, and a guy who everyone (mostly) roots for but isn't the most talented guy in the world comes through with an RBI to go ahead late, and then another even larger RBI to win it in the 9th vs a guy who no one thought anyone would ever score on. Fuck YES!!!!
These Buccos are for real. You can choose to not believe, your right, and I respect that. I believe baby, because this team believes, from top to bottom!
Fuck Ludwick and fuck the Reds. They remain in first, barely, but they are reeling and bloodied.
Love my Buccos! Let's Go!

I BELEIVE !!! Glad to see you point this out. Like Tuesday night, this was a game of heroes, but also a game of doing a lot of the right things when they were needed. Was great to see this from Tabata. Hope the kid responds by coming out with fire!
