Now that i think about it, Giles could arguably be a top 5 Pirate of all time.

Canonsburg, I think an argument can definitely be made. Folk tend to discount this era of the Buccos because of the win/loss ineptitude.

Ralph Kiner isn't discounted despite playing for some of the worst Pirates teams in history.

Agree. The numbers Giles put up while he was in Pittsburgh were amazing. Top 5 is a stretch but imo definitely top 20.
