Fifty game mark is kind of an inflection point. It's really the first time you can make a real solid observation about everyone. I know for sure Charlie Morton and Clint Barmes have sucked....

I'm with you and 43 about Charlie being a likable guy and someone you want to root for. I really was hoping he'd turned a corner last year....but at this point, he's clearly the odd man out of the rotation when Karstens makes it back. He might be the odd man off the club if he keeps having outings like this last one.

Yep, Barmes has pretty much sucked. As has McGehee. Fortunately Hague is getting more of the starts at first now. We'll see what he does with them. JHay has been getting some starts at SS, and now we brought up Mercer, so Barmes' days may be numbered if those two players can produce in his spot.

Let's hope AJ can right this ship tonight, get us back to .500 and win this series before we head out of town.

Barmes getting a 2 year deal - NH's worst signing to date.

with Hurdle's significant input and blessing

Must admit I liked the signing and thought he'd be an upgrade over Cedeno -- You would think with the law of averages he would begin to hit near his career avg numbers (the way Barajas has recently)

I would like to see what Mercer can do -- with extended playing time. If he's much worse than barmes, we can always go back to Clint

Holy shit! The Buccos' starting lineup doesn't have any regulars batting under .200!!!

Jordy Mercer getting his first major league start at SS. Man, I hope he can unseat Barmey.
