Yeah!!!! Great play, Pedro! Not afraid to hit the rail, unlike Jose on that foul ball play, who wasn't even close to any rail. WTF was up with that. I'm looking at you hard, Jose.

It was the only reason he wasn't in the lineup and leading off. It was the only reason Harrison was leading off. Let's not make this more than it is. Hurdle isn't stupid enough to believe Harrison is really a lead off hitter. I missed the last couple games due to some personal issues. Did Jose really not hustle? That is disturbing if true. He really looked like he was stoned in the outfield....wake and bake. Interesting. I would not have thought that of him. Struggles or not, he always seemed to me to be a play hard, hustling kind of player. I don't think Tabata's out field blunders the other day were due to lack of hustle, he appeared to make an honest effort, he is simply below par defensively. With that said, there have been a few times the past couple of weeks that I thought he was dogging it. Just my perception that of course means nothing, but if Hurdle benched him for that reason...

AJ is not inspiring a lot of confidence in me today. He needs to start getting some K's.

Shoes, thanks for weighing in. I thought Jose had potential to be good defensively due to his speed. He's played LF and RF no matter when asked this season. I am not happy to hear he might have been not playing at full speed though. I hope that's not true, but if Hurdle benched him for it, as you say...then...if he doesn't respond and hard core, I believe his days in our uniform are numbered, no matter what else we may think of him. C'mon Jose...if Roberto is your hero, play like it. He NEVER dogged it ever.

I'd be okay if it was just a blunder....Jose seems a little bit lackadaisical and maybe a tad overweight....i hope he's not smoking dope....i like the guy as a hitter. i'm not trying to cast aspersions on him

And tie game. AJ's got nothing today. Bring in the Pen early.

His normally sharp breaking ball...isn't today! Hopefully he can call on some veteran savvy to battle through 5 or 6 and keep us in the game. This is one of those games that the bats need to help out!
