That wasn't much fun. Last night was basically what I was talking about when I said Pedro was the only one producing the runs. The Pirates scored one run on seven hits. The RBI was by Pedro, of course. The Reds scored seven runs on twelve hits, with six of their nine players knocking in runs. In fact, other than Cueto the other two without RBI were Rolen and Votto.

That game sucked. McLouth was our big hitting star, with 2 singles.

Yeah. It wasn't pretty. One thing I seem to recall (correct me if I'm wrong) that we did well last season in the first half was to win a lot of first games in each series. That's key I think. Now we have to win the next two in order to win the series. Let's hope we do so.

If we can just get to .500 and stay around there until the deadline.....would like to see what NH would do - we have a lot of pitching prospects....especially a lot of solild lefties in Indy - just wondering if NH would be willing to deal for a hitter in his prime....not what we did last year but more of a Hunter Pence type hitter - we need a bat at the three spot - I would rather see McCutheon lead off.....big ifs and not enough tits.

Suwannee, just a guess, but I think if the division is not in question as it was last season, that we'll be sellers. .500 or not.

Not necessarily.

Remember, there is an extra wild card team this year.

That is going to change the trading dynamic because more teams will still be in the hunt.

Of course, how that is most likely to change the dynamic is that sellers are going to demand more.

I had forgotten that, Jeemie. Ok, then, I'll amend it to say if the division and wild card are not in play...we'll be sellers.
