Wait I thought the remaining teams were supposed to just lay down for the Flyers all the way to the Cup after Giroux showed such leadership and character by breaking his stick after game 5 and then having a great 1st shift in game 6.

Talbot's comment says it all:

“It went by fast, that’s for sure. Beating Pittsburgh was really emotional. It was something that was a big challenge for us. We put a lot into it. You want to give credit to the Devils. They played smart. But it’s obviously disappointing because you beat the Pittsburgh Penguins, the favorite to win the Stanley Cup and then you’re supposed to win the second round."

They blew their wad in the Pens series. Just like the Ravens, always worried about Pittsburgh.

TOLD-JAH.

The Flyers are pussy fucks that don't understand that its a marathon, not a sprint.

Enjoy the offseason, Hartnell. Maybe your boyfriend will find time to shave that bush off of your ugly melon.

let's see what sort of Douchebaggery they have up their sleeve in the final minutes

And then the final nail will be when Richards and Carter are lifting the Cup.

I am so hoping to see that now.

So all those people clamoring that "the Pens should've signed Jagr!", where are you now? He was absolutely invisible vs. NJ (a team he historically has owned). He was paid $3.3M this year and didn't even crack the 20 goal mark.
He had absolutely ZERO impact vs. NJ and was dogging it the whole series. I loved what he did in Pittsburgh (still own his jersey) but he's a quitter without solid leadership in the dressing room.

Keep any eye on Puckdaddy today. The Pensblog has the rights to the Flyers Eulogy and it'll likely be up today. Should be pretty good.

As for Jagr. I would've still made the signing at the price we offered, not the price Philly offered. We're paying some guys far more money who not only did jack shit in the playoffs but were actually a detriment.
