Some of those guys from the Cup team had their UFA value shoot way up and there was no way the Pens could've kept them all, and I think we all agreed at the time they weren't worth over-paying. And I still agree with it. None of those guys have gone on to set the league on fire. 2 of them aged out of the game (one of which is still with the Pens in player development).
As far as Martin/Michalek.....hindsight is 20/20. Those were moves we applauded Shero for, and plenty of times they appeared as if they'd pan out. And they still might. Or they might not.
A few guys i'd like to see gone/replaced moving forward: TK, Park, Adams, and Sullivan.
And damn MAF really killed this team's momentum repeatedly throughout this series. If this team has proven one thing over the years, it's that the Pens go the way MAF goes. Despite the many defensive breakdowns, MAF's performance in this series was stunning for all the wrong reasons.

I still feel like Kunitz gets the benefit of the doubt. Not sure i'd condemn him for one series, he's not the kind of player that's going to help too much in a shootout when his defense and goaltender are performing like beer leaguers and letting in goals ever 30 seconds. But then again, not sure i'd offer more than a 1 year deal (which he surely would not take).

Why in the world would you want sullivan gone? He's the reason our pp didn't suck this year. Remember when we couldn't buy a PPG to save our life even when Sid /Geno were healthy? Yea Sullivan is the grease to the extra man unit

I know it's just one play out of many screw ups, but I'm down on Sullivan right now - he's the guy that placed a nice soft pass right on Giroux's stick and then did the "ole" to leave Giroux with the wide-open look 20 seconds into the game. If they don't score that early, who knows what happens? He is very valuable on the PP so he's probably worth keeping around, but that one play really pisses me off.

I'm not a big believer in deciding a players' fate on one playoff series...especially when that player has been with us for multiple years. There's too big of a sample size to let 6 games determine whether or not a player needs to go. Don't let your emotions over a bad series cloud your long term judgement. Nothing good comes from that.
