Tabata hitting only .118 is just mind-boggingly bad.
I suppose I should have some hope because that cannot continue forever.
Of course, with the Pirates' luck, as soon as Tabata's and Walker's bats wake up, Cutch will probably go into a slump.
All i want is mediocre hitting to go with the pitching, and then things would look better.
But not even a rotation of Halladay, Lee, Verlander, and Kershaw could carry such a pathetic offense.

The pirates make the worst starter in the league look like a Cy Young candidate. I bet the opposing pitchers LOVE when they get to pad their stats.

Yeah, Saunders is a good, solid guy.

Yeah, agree with Jeemie. We don't need the lineup to be world-beaters, just score enough to be average at best. With our pitching, I think that would really lift the club and give us a bit more hope that we'd be competitive.
Right now...damn, the hitting is just god-awful.

The hitting will improve to at least mediocre, possibly good. Walker's ready to bust out; Barajas too.
This is a decent team that will contend like last year and should have enough starting pitching depth to survive.
