Lovejoy played the worst defensive hockey i've ever seen at the NHL level tonight. It was just atrocious and cost us 2 huge goals.

The Pens seem to have a weird synchronicity with the Steelers in recent years. The championship seasons together. The playoff struggles since. This year it's our problems with the Ravens and Flyers. And also looking like another one and done for a Pittsburgh playoff team this year.

lovejoy and engelland couldn't have played worse stay-home defense even if they had actually stayed at their houses instead of coming to the rink.

i don't think i've ever seen paul martin or zybenik michalek actually hit anyone.

letang was busy playing winger when he wasn't in the penalty box for something dumb.

we've got one defenseman on this team.

none of our forwards look like they have a clue in the defensive zone.

nice reward for having the second most points in the eastern conference... a matchup with the team that has beaten us up and stolen our lunch money all fucking year.

I just don't get this team...physically and talent wise they are better, but Philly is playing better. Look how they protected the lead when they finally got it: chip and change...

As discused Bylsma did his team no favors, from matchup issues to when to use the timeout (where is Russ Grimm and the challenge flag when you need him?)

Niksanen must be really fucked up to miss 2 playoff games. If he can walk he better be lacing them up. This team is hampered by the lack of depth on D and that is with Paul Martin not royally fucking the pooch...YET.

My guess is we see Richard Park in for Vitale next game. Maybe his awareness and smarts will translate into a better showing on the PK.
Again, special teams and goaltending are the culprits here...nothing new.

this game was over the second lovejoy made that disgusting turnover.

i can't believe a 19-year-old is (still) making the likely hart trophy winner his bitch and the only response the penguins seem to have is "keep trying, you'll figure him out eventually".

I bet this team has some excellent golfers. No Defense in golf.

if not, it looks like they'll have plenty of time to practice their swing in a week or so.

this series was lost in the offseasons, when Shero makes player moves --

he has fucked up this roster -- they can't win in the playoffs anymore

Anyone looking for a scapegoat can fuck themselves.

Goaltending, special teams, forwards, defenseman. EVERY SINGLE ONE has made a play that contributed to the each loss. If you are trying to blame it on one person, you have an ax to grind.

This team has been talented enough to carry the play in every single game these teams have played.

As a fan, I hope the goaltending, special teams, forwards and defenseman will find a way to play 60 minutes a game. It starts Sunday. Go pens.

Max Talbot -- PLUS FIVE tonite--

nah, he wasn't worth $2.5M a year --

He only led us to victory in the Stanley Cup -- he wasn't worth 1/2 of Paul Martin's salary

that dude is playing with a huge chip on his shoulder -- he must have been fucking outraged when Pens didn't offer a decent contract.
