Nice work, Sham, as always, thanks.
We absolutely need to take 2 here in this series. I get that we're not a very good hitting team but damn...we're worse than horrible at the moment. We need to get some bats alive, and soon.
We had moments like this last year, and we battled back out of those little mini-slumps so that we didn't get buried early until we caught fire about a month or so in, which as we know lasted until about mid-July. So don't give up the ship yet, but it is worrisome and it has to be playing on their minds as well. The weight just keeps getting heavier. Need to bust out and have some fun, break that tension up a little bit.

Yeah, we absolutely need to take two of three, but how the fuck are we when Alvarez, Tabata and Walker - three of the so-called core four - are hitting like ass. I know that's nothing new for Alvarez, but the Bucs certainly need Tabata and Walker to get off the schneid. The pitching's just fine. They haven't given up more than four runs a game this year. Time for these fucking bats to wake the fuck up.

Yinz, you nailed it, that right there is really what's killing us. Pedro wasn't much of a surprise, as you pointed out, but Neil and Jose are definitely a surprise. You can get by somewhat with one young batter struggling...sometimes two...but three, including the man who is normally batting leadoff, and the other sometimes batting cleanup? That's a HUGE problem, as you said.

Christ, just got home and look what I find.
JMac with a so-so start, but 3 runs should be competitive not the nail in the coffin.
C'mon Buccos, wake the fuck up!

Holy shit, i knew the Pirates couldn't hit worth a fuck, but i didn't realize they would be this bad. Looking like another typical long summer and hoping for training camp to get here sooner than later!

C'mon Buccos, wake the fuck up! LOL this team can barely even score A run. If a team goes up on them 2-0 we might as well forget it

Let's look at the bright side...they're getting the inevitable, obligatory 10-12 game losing streak out of the way early!

We'll see what they do once Walker and Tabata start hitting. Then again, with the Pirates' luck, a couple more hitters will start to go in slumps.

Two or three guys will hit decently, while the rest of the line-up brings zippo. Then a couple of those guys will heat up, but the ones hitting earlier go in to a funk. Can't ever get most/all hitting at the same time. I guess that's why most managers go gray!
