Does anyone know of a fight between Roberto Clemente and Bob Friend back in the late 50's or early 60's? I was talking to an older guy who is a Bucs fan and he told me that Friend got a dislocated shoulder as a result and was out for some time. I hadn't ever heard of that incident and went back to the Maraniss biography and couldn't find anything. Just wondering if anyone here remembers it or has read of it.

Can't help you, but bringing up Clemente made me think of Rum Diaries. There was a short mention of him in the beginning, which I thought was cool. I like anything Hunter S.

Hadn't heard that story, Jack. Maybe Swiss might, or Hoppy?

Never heard that. Dick does Pitt games and God bless he's 80 something and he would tell you. If Pitt gets to fourth game of BET I'll go to MSG and ask him but it's not likely they'll get that far this year.
