I hate the idea of Hemsky, just not the kind of player that I think would fit in with the Penguins.
I'm keen on two Blue Jackets - Antoine Vermette would give them a bunch of versatility line-wise, and Kristian Huselius would be intriguing even though he hasn't played in a while due to a groin injury.
I can't see the Penguins adding a defenseman.

If ya feel like ya have to keep the bum then by all means do what ya gotta do to justify over paying him...all I ask is that you add a viable stay at home defenseman to protect the crease for the playoff run.
IE Allen, Kubina, Spacek etc etc
And while you are at it Ray how bout you get with Sid and Long Term IR him for the remainder of the regular season so that you can free up his enormous cap hit for the stretch run on valuable pieces.

Agree w Hemsky, I just don't think they need anymore speed on the wing. Plus wtf has he done in Edmonton? He's been a major underachiever his whole career.
One other guy to keep your eye on is Zdlicky from Minnesota, he's got the Shero /Nashville connection. Wouldn't surprise me if he's in a Pens uniform in the next 4 months

A few players I think would fit well, depending on cost of course:
Vermette, Moen, Kubina, Malone (Kunitz-Crosby-Kennedy/Dupuis, Malone-Malkin-Neal just sick), Ray Whitney, Brad Boyes.

and in regard to Hemsky who do
we have that can actually carry the puck and dictate pace ?
Geno and old man Sullivan? Seems to me that might come in handy as LeTang is gonna be more than busy in the back end come playoff time with Martin's sorry ass in the mix
