Yep, and Sid hasn't whined in 5 years, either. And that's still pretending like the other NHL captains don't whine, because they all do. And Sid's team never had to cheat to dominate.

If Crosby was a QB playing for the Pats, you guys wouldn't stand him. I think it's funny that you can't stand Brady partly because (among others) of the whining he does and partly because they had to change rules in the league because golden boy got hurt. Then you bitch and moan about the "player protection rules" in the NFL. Then, in hockey, new player protection rules were put in place solely because the whiney golden boy of the NHL got hurt.

So, next time you bash the protection Brady gets or the iffy hits to the head of Steeler defenders, be reminded of your Sid ballwashing. I'll just continue to dislike both of these soft clowns, despite how admittedly talented they are.

Zar with the BIG WINNER!!!

Yeah Sid's detractors are about 4 seasons late on the whole "whining" thing. That was an issue the first 2 seasons but he's changed dramatically since then. Same with the diving. If he was still that same player I doubt he'd have cleaned house in the NHL Players Poll last season.

And every now and then you'll see some jackasses try and levy some bullshit charge at him for cherry picking and not back checking, which is hilarious as he's one of the best 2 way players in the game.

Welcome back, Sid.  You've got work to do.

Cup or bust.

Hey you have fun with Jarome Iginla now. I'm sure you'll get to the cup finals in no time.

That thread is both hilarious and maddening at the same time. Ken Hitchcock started the whole 'diving' thing back in '05 and for some god awful reason it has stuck. There's no one that plays harder, smarter, and with as much intensity as Crosby. He draws calls. He chirps, for sure, but so does Ovi. However, when Ovi does it, he's passionate and intense. When Crosby does it, he whines.

The level of idiocy on that board is insane. One guy derides Crosby saying he doesn't back check and then lauds Ovi for playing two ways. It brought tears to my eyes. I'm willing to bet this halfwit hasn't seen more than 2 Pens or Caps games. His statement is just flat out wrong. The others that claim he isn't the best in the game must've missed the past 5 years. Crosby was leaps and bounds better than ANYONE last year. Shit, he's 9 points behind Ovechkin in points, and Ovi is widely considered on par with Crosby...

You lost all credibility when you called Crosby soft. Sorry, it just isn't so.

And whiney - is that you, Ken Hitchcock?

If my mom was QB for New England, I wouldn't stand her.

It always looks like whining when it's not your team.  And it always looks like justified disagreement when it is your team.

The Cup is huge, but I don't think it's big enough to hold all u jelly.
