I had big plans for the blog this weekend. I was going to do three posts, including a preview for this stupid Pirates game.

That didn’t happen though. Why? Pneumonia! That’s right I came down with Pneumonia in what is technically the summers. Now as a boy growing up in the coals fields of Pennsylvania I was train

Hope you are OK Sham - You are in the Buc's top ten fan list for certain. Thinking Jack and Joe on that list too.

Hoping you're feeling better soon Sham.

Thanks Suwanee. I bitch about this team, but I am a Pirate fan to the end.

I go all the way, won't change, no matter how bad it lasts or gets.

Incredible, in a bad way, how we currently have the 2nd worst record in the NL right now. Only Houston in our own division is worse. And they kicked our asses a few times recently.

How deep is the draft this year?

Third-worst.

San Diego's at .429.

Ok.

I laugh only because it's so painful. 2nd worst, 3rd worst. After being 4th best at a certain point in July.

Well, well -- Buccos with a rare all-around great outing to beat the NL west leaders.

Charlie Morton back in control . . . Walker and Presley looking great . . . Lee with a HR and Pedro actually knocking one out too . . . G.I Jones and Alvarez with a sparkling defensive grabs . . . Doumit with his once-a-month clutch RBI . . . Hanrahan throwing a short, sweet 3-up, 3-down 9th . . .

Man, what coulda been --- and for a while, almost was --- this season . . . :(

P.S. Get well soon, Sham . . . and hang in there MJ, JL, and the rest of yinz crazy Pirate fans.

That was a nice win, Franco.

Charlie, Karstens and JMac give me hope for a somewhat decent rotation next year. I'm guessing they probably keep Correia since he's signed through next season. I guessing they probably let Maholm go.
