Pens Wings Weds Sept 21st

-Joe Morrow Pens 2011 1st round pick looked very skilled, talented and hockey smart...18 years young he should add 10 pounds to his 6-0 195 pound frame. He looked like he belonged.

-Carl Sneep been in the organization for awhile...His skating and decision making make him at best a 6th defensemen...Quality AHL player

-Philip Samuelson-20 years old Pro...He may start in the ECHL which will be a blessing. Samuelson has way more skills then his daddy...Philip needs to add some jam to his game...Samuelson is a very good passer...He reads the game....He could work on his skating its not a weakness it could become a strength....He needs to muck and grind.

-Brian Gibbons-Small forward who should light the lamp at the AHL level....He is a more skilled Chris Connor....Connor is a better skater.

-Colin McDonald-Power Forward with a gritty game...AHL lifer.

-Richard Park- Will make the team...Hustle Hustle Hustle..Park is a freaking gnat.

-Brad Theissen..-Undersized goalie...Quick reflexes...NHL backup

Geno looks hungry and healthy
The boys looked pretty good against the Wings

Hawks game tonight on NHL Network at 7

The ice was shitty last night and for the first 5 minutes the game was sloppy.

Morrow has a NHL skill set and looked as though he belonged. You're right, he needs to get bigger/stronger.

I wasn't the least bit impressed with Phillip Samuelsson, though it was only one game.

Malkin had a nice feed to Kunitz who got it through the 'six' hole and off the pipe past Howard. A little while latter Geno fed a sweet puck to Neal in front of the Wings goal. Neal had the five hole or could have waited a second for Howard to drop then chipped it in for a tally. He failed.

Datsyuk and Malkin were easily the two best players on the ice last night.

Whats up with Despres not playing last night or tonight?

He will see more ice time in Wilkes Barre...If I had to guess he is the 9th defensemen at this point behind Bortuzzo and Sneep.

You know, if Jordan Staal and Geno Malkin can finally play up to their potential this year, ALL year, this team could be deadly with or without Sid. Both have looked strong so far.

(Barring injuries knock on wood)

Start the Season

Neal-Malkin-Sullivan
Kunitz-Staal-Kennedy
Cooke-Letestu-Dupuis
Adams-Park-Asham

1. Letang Orpik
2. Martin Michalek
3. Lovejoy Engelland

Flower BJ

Taxi Squad....Niskanen MAC Johnson

IR Jeffery and Sid

When both are healthy...Sid will replace Johnson on the roster...Letestu and Jeffery could be fighing for 1 roster spot
