http://thisisgettingold.net/2011/09/14/ ... orty-nine/Quote: Sadly we meet here again. We meet with yet another losing season. Something we are all too used too and something every Pirates fans has every right to be upset about.
What I’m not going to do is go on some holier than thou rant about how this is a slow process and Huntington is doing the right thing. I do believe both of those statements. I’m not going to

Another great preview, Sham, thanks. I particularly liked this comment: Quote: The burden is on the club in the end, not on the fans. The club should be beholden to the fanbase, the fans spend the money, the fans live, bleed, and cry for the team. The fans have every right to express whatever emotion they want, no matter how off base it is. We won’t ever win a sports argument. That’s what sports arguments are, unwinnable. Very astute, bro. Fuck, do we really need to squirm through another Ohlendorf shitfest?

Wow --- back in June I was so geeked about this series, hoping it might actually mean something by the time the Buccos came to town this late in September. Now, as it has all unraveled, I forgot they were even playing until things were underway tonight at the Ravine . . . Well, hooray for Ohlendorf . . . now that it's so far beyond importance, he finally gets back on track with his first W since July, 2010 72 pitches in 7 to beat LA. If not "raise", I guess "nod in the general direction" of the Jolly Roger, huh fellas?

Ohly finally gets back on track! Way to hit for power, bro! Hurdle challenged him leading up to the game, and it sure worked.

Guys don't tell me you stayed up that late to watch the Pirates! Anyway, Ohly does it all to win. He had 'em all the way. Raise it!

Jack, you said it a couple of weeks ago, I believe. They are done, packing it in. They showed a little sign of life a week ago, but that was it.
Fucking hell of a way to go out after all they accomplished earlier in the year.

I know MeanJoe. I am very disappointed in them. Losing 15-1 to the Dodgers is disgraceful.
