You could take last year's visit list and project what they were looking for in each round.
Wallace was the complete surprise.

They always draft somebody they brought in for a looksee. "Only" 4 eventual draft picks were brought in last year out of 9 total picks. That is quite a lot when you consider that 256 players will be drafted and you only get to bring 30 of them in for further interviews. It's a crapshoot as to who will be available when you pick.

DB, only p[layers who are flown into Pittsburgh to meet with the team are considered "official" visits. They have already met with a bunch of players at the combine, bowl games, and pro days.

it's an interesting debate. Does bringing a guy in mean they're sold or not sold on him?
I don't know. Even the pros who spend all day evaluating talent are right about 50% of the time-- if they're lucky.

Navorro Bowman and Sean Lee of PSU will be visiting with the Steelers. I believe they are not counted toward the 30 official visits. Source: http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/10077/1043803-143.stm

Is there a thought process that Bowman can play on the inside?
Wexell points out the visit, but states Bowman and Lee as ILBs.
BTW, Perch are you going to copy and paste them all together good man?
