Yeah but the thing about Petigrew is that not only is he a dominating blocking TE, he's also a superb receiving TE. He's the complete package. He'd be an excellent target for Ben, as well as proving a great boost in the run-game (which is desperately needed). In Arians' TE-centric offense, having both Heath and Petigrew out there would actually make it work.

Heath is among 12 starters in a contract year. Silverback, Reed, Ward, Starks, Kiesel, Hampton, just to name the other really important ones. And the year after that, Woodley and Holmes are up. Having an immediate replacement (and honestly, probably upgrade) for Heath lying in wait will help make that eventuality much easier to deal with.

Again, he won't last that wrong, but if he did, I would want us to be all over him.

Mayock said yesterday that Robert Ayers dominated Andre Smith in the UT-AU game, but then Ayers struggled against Okung and Pettigrew in the OK St game. Could possibly speak volumes about Pettigrew as a blocker. But I think Mayock may be off his rocker a bit with Heyward-Bey now going top 10 to Al Davis

Maclin to the Raiders wouldn't surprise me. H-B sounds like an absurd reach in the top 10 (although I think Maclin is extremely overrated).
