Favre and Elway took a ton of hits too and both were effective until age 38+. Even Steve Mcnair was good till he was 33, and he was never as talented as Ben. Brady/Manning/Brees are still going strong into their mid 30's.

I love the Honey Badger but...
Do we have a chance to draft the guy? and does he project well to safety or is he just a slot CB?

Honey Badger very well good be a 2nd round pick due to size concerns, especially if he doesn't time exceptionally well. Not sure he'd be a great fit in LeBeau's system. I think we'll be looking for more of a true FS than a CB/S hybrid anyways. Considering the perceived quality of next year's safety class combined w/ our age at safety and youth at CB makes me think Mathieu is pretty unlikely.

Mathieu would be a fantastic understudy to Troy or nickel back.

I think Mathieu's best pro position is free safety. That said, he needs to add 20 pounds before he can realistically play it. Can he add that much weight and be the same player? If not he's relegated to a nickle corner and ST's guy, and those don't get drafted before round 2 or 3. I see very few NFL personnel people willing to spend a #1 on a 5'9 175 lb corner.

kiper has amerson in his top-5 overall for next year.
i would take rambo in the supplemental draft for his name alone.

Quote: 8. Jonathan Cooper, G, North Carolina -- Scouts grade Cooper much higher than any of the guards selected in the first round of the 2012 draft. He's large, athletic and controls defenders at the line of scrimmage or easily annihilates opponents blocking in motion. Holy shit are you serious? Cooper is a real deal bad man as a prospect...So was Decastro Players wise he did a good job.

As so many teams did this year in the first round, next year will be our year to take a pass rusher in the 1st or 2nd. Harrison and Keisel are getting up in years. Maybe a hybrid/jumbo olb.
