2010 Texans:

2.41 – Patrick Robinson, CB, Florida State
2.44 – Rob Gronkowski, TE, Arizona
3.84 – Toby Gerhart, HB/FB, Stanford
4.123 – C.J. Wilson, DE, East Carolina
4.130 – Rennie Curran, OLB/S, Georgia
5.140 – John Skelton, QB, Fordham
6.197 – Trevard Lindley, CB, Kentucky
7.227 – Stephen William, WR, Toledo

Blah. Nabbing the best TE in football is the only thing that saves this. Robinson looks like a bust and Gerhart, who showed better this past season, is still just an average talent. C.J. Wilson is good depth for the Packers though and has played well when given the chance.

2011 Texans:

1. Prince Amukamara, CB, Nebraska
2. Adrian Clayborn, DE, Iowa
3a. Jerrel Jernigan, WR, Troy
3b. Buster Skrine, CB, Tenn-Chat.
4. Lawrence Guy, DE, Arizona
5. Virgil Green, TE, Nevada
6. Bruce Miller, OLB, Central Florida
7. Jeremy Beal, OLB, Oklahoma

Incomplete on Amukamara so far as he never really had a chance after breaking his foot in August. Clayborn had 7.5 sacks as a rookie.. I thought the shoulder issue with him was a bit overblown. Can't say much about the rest other than Jernigan was disappointing. At least I knew Bruce Miller would stick. Starting FB for the 49ers and a solid player.

only 1 I found for me, not sure how I missed it, is it really that bad? Regardless of how they turned out which is largely dependant on coaching, scheme, and surrounding players, Mocks are really only about where they're slotted, not how they're devleloped. Sooo, I got

top defensive player of draft class in Watt. Remember in October I told you I liked him better than all world Fairley?

LT starter in Seattle in Carpenter

starting rookie LB for Eagles in Mathews

maybe the best rookie CB of the season in Sherman

and a SB champion starting FB in Hynoski

Quote:
1. JJ Watt DE UW
2. Aaron Williams CB/S UT
3. James Carpenter OT 'bama
4. Casey Mathews LB Oregon
5. Richard Sherman CB The Stanford Cardinal
6. Henry Hynoski FB Pitt Panthers

maybe not the best one going, but at least ok at worst

so bust away :P

The best draft I've seen so far:

2010 Detroit Lions (Charles DeMarr):

1.2 N'damukong Suh, DT, Nebraska
2.34 Demaryius Thomas, WR, G. Tech
3.66 Roger Saffold, OG/OT, Indiana
4.100 Myron Lewis, CB, Vanderbilt
5.133 Darrell Stuckey, S, Kansas
7.214 Jeff Fitzgerald, DE, Kansas St.
7.255 Andre Anderson, RB, Tulane

That top three is ridiculous. One of the best players in football in the first, an absolute freak who I expect to go nuts with Manning this year in the second, and a quality starting LT in the third.

TB i agree with the Charles Demarr draft...he always does a solid job with the Lions. While I prefer a Perch type of big school draft with lots of extra picks, I enjoy learning about the small school kids FC and B2B include in their yearly mocks. The majority of the participants in these mocks know their football and do a great job. I enjoy participating as it gives me an outlet to hear some informative draft discussion.

2011 Cleveland Browns completed draft:

Rd.
1. Robert Quinn DE North Carolina
2. Marvin Austin DT North Carolina
3 Jerrell Jernigan WR Troy
4. Colin McCarthy LB Miami
5. Kendall Hunter RB Oklahoma St.
6. Pat Devlin QB Delaware
6. Pernell McPhee DE Miss. St.

2011 Chargers' completed draft (Mock 2):

1, JJ Watt DE Wisconsin
2. Brooks Reed OLB Arizona
2. Davon House DB New Mex St.
3. Kelvin Sheppard LB LSU
3. Greg Little WR North Carolina
4. Lance Kendricks TE Wisconsin
6. Chris Hairston OT Clemson
7. Graig Cooper RB Miami

Draft 1: Rams

1. Aldon Smith, DE Mizzou
2. Jon Baldwin, WR Pitt
3. Quinton Carter, FS OU
4. Jason Pinkston, OL Pitt
5. Cameron Jordan, TE USC
6. Delone Carter, RB Syracuse
7. Ryan Jones, CB NW Missouri St.

Not bad. We all saw what Smith did for the Niners. (The Rams took Robert Quinn, by the way.) Baldwin could have been a major contributor. Pinkston and both Carters were contributors to their teams as rookies, and would likely have seen pt in STL. Both Pinkston and Q Carter went a round later than I took them; D Carter went two rounds earlier. Jordan caught a few passes for the Browns, who took him in the fourth. Jones wasn't drafted.

Draft 2: Bengals

1. AJ Green, WR UGA
2. Christian Ponder, QB FSU
3. Ryan Williams, RB VT
4. Chris Culliver, S So Car
5. Nate Irving, ILB NCST
6. Ugo Chinasa, DE Okie State
7. Maurice Hurt, OG UF

The WR/QB combo was a no-brainer. Williams got hurt in Arizona, but he was expected to contribute. Culliver went to SF in the 3rd and contributed; Irving went to the Broncos in the 3rd and racked up 4 whole tackles. Chinasa was undrafted, but wound up with the Lions. Hurt went to the Skins in the 7th and made the team.

Thank you sir. :) Much appreciated.

I was most excited with Saffold in the 3rd when drafting that year.
