would you let your kids smoke pot? or would you let them idolize someone that its public knowledge that does? Which does encourage the behavior. Im sure your teaching them to be Steeler fans, but sounds like you don't care if Steeler players do smoke weed. And if you don't let them toke, nor idolize someone that does, do you discourage them from being Steeler fans (or anyone else that does it)

Most parents who give a shit about their kids aren't going to let their kids smoke pot. Nor will they encourage idolization of someone that does. Now if its your favorite team in question and you have to discourage your own kids from being fans, and everyone else follows suit, in about a generation how big do you think that fanbase will be?

Smoking weed is nothing to idolize. A celebrity that openly condones smoking pot is nothing to idolize either.

That said, I have to say of the two evils I rather smoke weed everytime. You can't OD on weed like you can alcohol.

The real difference between weed and alcohol besides the side effects upon the human mind and body is the government can not regulate weed. Because it is a weed it can be grown just about anywhere. Therefore the government can't make the money on it like they do with alcohol. Been saying that for 25 years. JMO

I know the debate over weed vs alcohol is the eternal NORML debate. But the fact here is if the kid made a mistake and it was an isolated one, it can be proven with a hair sample. They can look back in the last 90 days of this kids life and determine if there is a problem. I am sure we've had our fill of talented pot smokers on this team, but they took a chance on Saunders (and sticking by him during this PED crap linked to his ADHD medicine). If this kid checks out I am sure that he could be one of those 7 round comp picks we got for cashing in our coupons.

This actually happened to me in college. My weed-smoking roommate made some pot-brownies. I didn't realize they had weed baked in so I ate some and went to practice. For an hour I couldn't figure out why I was so uncoordinated and cotton-mouthed.
