Some surprises here, not surprisingly. And isn't that what makes it fun? He has the Steelers taking Konz with both Kuechly and Hightower still on the board. (Kuechly goes to the Ravens; Hightower falls out of the first.) Second OT off the board is Mike Adams, to KC 11. Poe goes to Carolina at 9. Browns take Stephen Hill at 22. http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/Mock-Draft-40-5010.htmlKonz over Kuechly would make me want to krash my kar.

Kuechly is at the top of my Steelers draft wish list. If he's on the board, and they don't take him...

Bunting does good work, but his mock drafts are hideous.

Quote: 9. Carolina Panthers: Memphis DT Dontari Poe The NFL Combine helped Poe as much as anyone. He’s a massive kid with an elite combination of power, explosion and upside. His tape isn’t great, but I think he’s now a lock for the top 15. ok cool. Really can't play football, but if they ever break out the javelins and hurdles by weight class at halftime, makes it a great pick

I'll bet the house that if Kuechly and Hightower are both there no way the take Konz over either one of them.

IC, not that I don't mostly agree with your point but Jimmy Graham, Antonio Gates, and Tom Brady would tell you that tape is overrated.

I don't mind taking a risk on a high-potential guy after the draft (Gates), in the late rounds (Brady), or even in the third (Graham). But a top-ten pick? I don't know.

Look, I don't know much about Poe. But I can't find a single person anywhere that talks about how dominated football games I know you like to compare everyone from your barber to the girl at the McDonalds drive thru window to Jimmy Graham, but that doesn't really apply in this case

We all know Poe dominated while wearing shorts on a track up against the stopwatch. When did Poe ever dominate while wearing pads on a field up against marginal competition? We've already wasted 3 picks very recently on athletes who aren't football players (Timmons, Mendenhall, Ziggy) How about we go back to the "Pouncey drafting method", i.e. ignore the average combine, and get a damn football player?
