a few shockers to me. Quote: The combines are done and now we moves into pro-days. NFL draft boards are taking shape. So who are to top 33 players gracing draft boards. We’ve gotten some insight from around the league and this is how it stacks up for teams.

Matt Kalil-OT-USC 7-Justin Blackmon-WR-Oklahoma State 8.Morris Claiborne-CB-LSU 9.Fletcher Cox-DT-Mississippi State 10.Quinton Coples-DE-North Carolina 11.David DeCastro-OG-Stanford 12.Dre’ Kirkpatrick-CB-Alabama 13.Michael Brockers-DT-LSU 14.Jonathan Martin-OT-Stanford 15.Michael Floyd-WR- Notre Dame 16.Cordy Glenn-OL-Georgia 17.Devon Still-DT- Penn State 18. Whitney Mercilus-DE- Illinois 19.Coby Fleener-TE- Stanford 20.Nick Perry-DE- USC 21.Luke Kuechly-LB- Boston College 22.Kevin Zeitler-OG- Wisconsin 23.Ryan Tannehill-QB- Texas A&M 24.Doug Martin-RB- Boise State 25.Jerel Worthy-DT- Michigan State 26.Bobby Wagner-LB- Utah State 27.Stephon Gilmore-CB- South Carolina 28.Kendall Wright-WR- Baylor 29.Dwayne Allen-TE- Clemson 30.Donte’ Hightower-LB- Alabama 31.Kendall Reyes-DT- UConn 32.Stephen Hill-WR- Georgia Tech 33.Riley Reiff-OG- Iowa

is it still "guaranteed" Poe won't go in the top 23?
edit: now i'm worried gilmore won't be there for us at 24. hopefully he gets roughed up and can't work out at his pro day:/

Yeah - a few interesting names. Wonder if Reiff might be a guy we look at if he is available. http://www.draftinsider.net/blog/?p=6198Oh, and I don't buy off on Poe being ranked #3. That is ridiculous...he had a great combine but where is the tape to support such a loft draft pick. No way he goes in the top-10.

Poe was viewed as a 1st round pick BEFORE the combine, should come as little surprise that his stock has gone up since his impressive workout.

Right now my first round draft board is looking like: David DeCastro, OG Michael Floyd, WR Luke Keuchly, ILB Dre Kirkpatrick, CB Courtney Upshaw, OLB* Dontari Poe, NT Stephon Gilmore, CB Riley Reiff, OG/OT Dont'a Hightower, ILB Mark Barron, SS** Cordy Glenn, OG and I don't see Poe anywhere near 3 either. clearly a top 20 pick after the combine to me, but i just can't see someone going top 10 with that kind of production at a smaller school. *upshaw is there based on tape, i almost expect his pro day to kill his stock though. **Barron also rated here by tape, but I'm guessing his proday will be more or less fine.

as an aside... not so much for the Steelers RD 1 pick: thoughts on what Coby Fleener projects to be as an NFL player? I can't decide if he'll live up to the hype... haven't seen him play enough

I can't decide if he'll live up to the hype... haven't seen him play enough Just my opinion...but Fleener sucks. He is Heath Miller without the blocking ability. I don't see elite separation or RAC ability. Even if he develops that, he's Chris Cooley. I would take him in the 4th, but no where near the 1st.
